Installation MIKE BASIN on Windows Server 2008
« on: January 18, 2012, 12:21:42 pm »
Dear Forum's member,
I bought "Mike Basin" License last year (Key MZ-21092) and I customize it.
I'd like to know more about the installation on Windows Server 2008. When I select the type of license does not appear the type "? Local. License files will be installed locally on the machine."
Can anyone tell me why?

I thank you in advance for your kind reply.
Best regards.

Catmar.

There are two issues to mention with respect to this question.
DHI does not officially support Windows Server Operating Systems for our Software packages and we are therefore not able to secure that installations are running properly on such OS presently. License systems for the SW packages can though be installed on a Windows Server OS.
Another issue is the fact that it requires a network license to be able to install the License system in a Server. As from Release 2011 we have corrected a bug in our license system which accidently allowed the installation of a single license on a license server, which is clearly not allowed and intended.
This is the reason why you do not see any option for selecting a local license during installation. You will have to either upgrade to a network license or install MIKE Basin on a single user Operating System.
