On/off switch for head dependent boundary conditions

The current method for simulating the activation and deactivation of head dependent boundary conditions (e.g. Dirichlet) is by using time varying flow constraints.  However this causes the model to run slowly (checking whether constraint conditions are met) when it is obvious to the user that the boundary condition should simply by active or inactive.

Adding a feature which enables direct control of a boundary condition's active/inactive status would add tremendous efficiency and control for the user.  This is especially important when dealing with mining applications which can have complex staged pit dewatering schedules to be simulated. To me, it would be easiest to control this via a flag (0 or 1), controlled from a time series.

Hi Blair,

I think FEFLOW as a Plug-in for that. Currently I am doing the same as you with constraint but is true that it might be slow.

This feature will be available in FEFLOW 6.2.
