When is the GPU solver planned to be released?
« on: September 22, 2017, 08:32:31 am »
All my surface water modelling programs have GPU solvers now. Groundwater models can be even more complex, and take hours to solve, so a GPU solution would be very welcome. I'm assuming you are working on one - when do you think it will be ready?
All models are wrong. Some are useful.

At the moment there are no plans to support GPU. Implementing a GPU functionality is not a task which can be done quickly. Whether or not it is possible to switch to GPU computations depends not only on the adopted equation solver but also on the problem. Not every problem can be solved on GPU. Now and in the near future, you need to use CPU’s. In this context, please note the equation solvers provided by FEFLOW are parallelized.
