The least time step is 0.01 sec in MIKE21C, Why?

Hello everybody,

I have created and run a small physical model (A river about 30m in length), so the mesh size is very small. As a result, i need a time step less than 0.01 sec to run the model and get the stability. With the higher time steps (>0.01 sec) the model gets unstable.

I am wondering if MIKE21C can be used for modeling small physical models? I ask this because for those models, we need the time steps less than 0.01 sec.
