Support for MIKE 21 in QGIS
« on: September 04, 2019, 04:20:10 pm »
Dear MIKE 21 users,

We are trying to implement MIKE 21 format in QGIS:

Unfortunately, direct parsing of the format is not possible due to the fact that MIKE 21 format is closed source and there is no documentation on the format specification. The only method is using their SDK which is platform specific (Windows) and does not fit in with remits of data abstraction library (e.g. MDAL).

We have now settled to only support Netcdf format converted using the SDK:

If you are interested, could you pass us a small netcdf file containing a couple of time steps for a small region, so that we can include it in our test suites.
