MIKE SHE / Error with Irrigation sourced from River
« on: April 16, 2020, 02:35:51 pm »
Hello,

I am seeing the following error:

"Irrigation
Error: Specified chainage (18870) exceeds limits of
  Branch: Bee Branch
             Min, max chainage : 148, 6794."

However, the branch down stream chainage is over 20000. Why is MIKE SHE/MIKE11 not allowing withdrawals from the specified chainage? Is it a problem with MIKE SHE or MIKE11?

Thank you,
Angelica

Suggestions / Re: DFS2 time series file creator in MIKE ZERO

I've figured out the problem. I had used original grid codes from the radar rainfall data that I downloaded from an online database. The codes were not numbered sequentially (e.g. 0, 1, 2, 3,....,n). I changed the codes to be numbered sequentially and the tool worked! Relief is an understatement. I thought I was going to have to start form the beginning and re-download all of the data... 30 years of daily rainfall and ET...

MIKE 11 / Re: Error no. 9: Structure not specified in model setup
« on: December 17, 2018, 08:24:15 pm »
I have figured it out. For whatever reason, probably how I added the structure in, deleting it and re-adding it in seems to be working. I did a mass transfer from an Excel file where I just inserted rows in the MIKE11 structures setup and copied and pasted in all of the details. That may have been the issue. Seems to be working if I enter everything in line by line. Tedious but worth it in the end I guess.

MIKE 11 / Error no. 9: Structure not specified in model setup
« on: December 17, 2018, 07:46:49 pm »
Hello,

I am working on adding in structures to a MIKE11 network that was previously running well. After I add the structures in the river network and try to run it, I get this error for all of the added structures, "Error no. 9: structure in Branch x at chain y is not specified in the model setup." Does anyone know which model setup? I have added them in to the MIKE11 network but I'm not sure where else I need to define them.

Thank you,
Angelica

Hello,

I am trying to use this conversion tool and I have the rainfall data (dfs0 file) and the grids (dfs2 file) in the format listed in the manual on pg 329. However, I am getting this error: "Item number 62900 at grid cell (0,23) is out of range [1, 2980]." the item number 62900 is a grid number I have in my dfs2 file and corresponds to a column in my dfs0 file. I'm not sure what this error means. Is there something wrong with my rainfall data or my grid file? I am trying to create a rather large file - I have 2980 grids with 27 years of data each, and I'm working with a student license as I am completing my PhD. Could this be the issue? I need to get this resolved ASAP. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

MIKE SHE / Irrigation Application for Subsurface Irrigation
« on: April 25, 2018, 04:47:13 pm »
Hello,

I am developing a model for an area that has large areas of sugarcane which is irrigated through subsurface methods (seepage irrigation). In seepage irrigation, water is pumped into small, lateral ditches within the fields and the water table is raised so that capilary forces draw water into the root zone. Other than building the ditches in MIKE11 and pumping water in to raise the water table, do you have any suggestions of how I can use the irrigation application methods already available in MIKESHE? I was thinking of the sheet application but this isn't quite right and I would lose a lot more water to ET than in seepage irrigation. I was also thinking that I could use drip applied and try to match application rates to seepage rates, but the issue here is that drip is much more efficient than seepage and I won't lose enough water to ET.

Thank you

MIKE SHE / Error with irrigation command areas
« on: November 30, 2016, 03:50:26 pm »
Hello,

I am getting the following error when pre-processing my model, "Error: the remote well at (x,y) is pumping from the same layer(s) as the shallow well for command area x."

I have no wells at the specific coordinates given in the error message. I have one close by, but not in that exact location. Any ideas why I am getting this message? Any ideas how I can fix it?

Thank you,
Angelica

MIKE SHE / No entry for requested module found

Hello,

I am trying to complete the Sound tutorial and as I am saving the boundary condition profile series files, I get this message "No entry for requested module found!" Any tips?

Thank you,

MIKE SHE / Error: Invalid origin of input file
« on: September 26, 2016, 10:37:30 pm »
I inherited an old MIKESHE model and I am working on updating it. I had to change the model domain and now when I try to complete the pre-processing I get this error, "Invalid origin of input file (origin of land use file). Must be located an integer no. of simulation grid cells from the simulation grid origin (origin of domain file)."

I can't seem to find any help anywhere. I have done work re-creating the landuse file, but I am having no luck. Any ideas what may be my problem?

Thanks,
Angelica

MIKE SHE / Re: cannot find dig- or H-point
« on: August 26, 2016, 05:13:41 pm »
My colleague was able to help me. The chainage wasn't exact for the branch to the main branch in the network points nor the runoff/groundwater links in MIKE11.

Hello Criga,

Were you able to fix this error? How did you do it? I am currently running into the same problem.

Thank you,
Angelica
